If you combine the takeoff tools with the takeoff estimate software then your job is done when you make the last click on the electronic drawing. Takeoff tools like Scale Master and Ultra Scale Master Pro can be used for takeoffs from complex drawings. With a lot of built-in metrics in them, you can choose whatever metrics you want for your measurements. Options for customized metrics are also there in the takeoff tools.

The data that is held in the takeoff tools can be transferred to the takeoff estimate software or to any compatible software that can be used for estimation. On the other hand if you can import your electronic drawing in the takeoff estimate software itself, your job is easily done. Just click the areas of the drawing that need to be estimated. The software will calculate the areas or any linear measurements to be taken. Counting can also be done easily. The estimated data can be exported to other software for pricing and bidding.
